Ariana Grande Breaks Record for Most Simultaneous Top 40 Hot 100 Hits

  • Ariana Grande has broken the record for the most simultaneous top 40 Billboard Hot 100 hits by a female artist. Eleven of the 12 tracks on Grande's new album Thank U, Next cracked the Hot 100's top 40; Grande also dominating the chart's top three slots, with "7 Rings" at #1, "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" at #2 and herThank U, Next title track at #3. The album also debuted at #1 on the latest Billboard 200. The feat means Grande broke the record set by Cardi B last April when the rapper tallied nine top 40 entries on Billboard's Hot 100--the same week her album Invasion of Privacy premiered atop the Billboard 200. Drake still holds the record for the most simultaneous top 40 Hot 100 hits among all artists, claiming 21 on July 14, 2018--the same week his Scorpion LP debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200.
