Ja Rule Officially Dismissed From $100M Fyre Festival Class Action Lawsuit

Ja Rule is officially free and clear from the $100 million Fyre Festival class action lawsuit. Although the rapper (real name: Jeffery Atkins) was dropped from the ongoing litigation in July 2019, an appeal from the firm of lawyer Mark Geragos attempted to bring Ja Rule back into the fray. However, last week, a judge in no uncertain terms rejected this bid, meaning he's off the hook. "This ruling is nothing short of a total vindication of Mr. Atkins," Ja Rule's lawyer, Ryan Hayden Smith, told AllHipHop.com. The lawsuit, which was brought by fans against stakeholders in the ill-fated festival (including co-founder Billy McFarland) will continue, however.
